On Watch 4 hotsite they "seem" to indicate that only Galaxy phones will be fully compatible with all the features, so if that's true it's really a bummer (jeez, Samsung WHY, OH WHY). Thanks in advance for any input.
You can use Samsung Pay on non-Samsung phones, I've used it on an Active2 and GW4 with both a OnePlus 7T Pro and Pixel 6 Pro without issue. There was briefly a bug where you couldn't set it up from some non-Samsung devices, but I believe that's fixed now (it never stopped working for me). Google Wallet is of course functional regardless.
Thank you for confirming! I guess I will go with the Venu instead. I refuse to buy a Samsung phone. I love the pics my Pixel takes and the pure android experience. That's really disappointing that Samsung requires a Samsung phone. The Active 2 looks like a great watch otherwise.
